Core Mission

At OT Takes A Village, children and their families across Newcastle are supported with caring, family-focused therapy.

It truly takes a “village” to help a child grow, and therapy is most effective when delivered in close collaboration with families to create a safe and supportive environment where each child can thrive.

This approach is designed to fit naturally into everyday routines, making therapy a part of daily life. Flexible sessions are offered in familiar settings such as the home, school, preschool or in the community, and services follow the NDIA model to ensure families have choice and control over their child’s support.

    Occupational Therapist

I graduated with Honours in Occupational Therapy from the University of Newcastle in 2018. Since then, I have worked with children and families across Newcastle, Port Stephens, Maitland, and the Hunter Valley in a variety of paediatric therapy services.

I am passionate about helping children reach their goals and believe in building a strong, supportive "village" around every child. I use a play-based, strengths-focused approach and work from a neuro-affirming perspective when supporting children who identify as neurodivergent.

I have experience working with children aged 0–12 years with a wide range of strengths and support needs, including those who are autistic, experience anxiety, have developmental differences, chromosomal variations, ADHD/ADD, sensory or learning differences, motor coordination challenges, intellectual disabilities, or have experienced trauma.

As a mum, my parenting journey continues to shape my work, helping me connect with families in a warm, understanding, and practical way.
